Senior Project Manager

Ready to Lead Amazing Projects, Build Stronger Communities, and Grow Your Career in Montana?

Hardy Construction Co. has been a trusted name in Montana commercial construction for over 70 years. We build landmark office buildings, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and retail centers, that shape our region — and we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager who doesn’t just manage projects… you own them, lead teams, and actively bring in new clients while becoming a visible leader in the Billings community.

This is more than a job — it’s your chance to take ownership of high-impact $5M–$60M+ projects, mentor the next generation of project managers, and directly contribute to the growth of one of Montana’s most respected construction firms.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead exciting commercial construction projects from pre-construction through successful closeout — on time and on budget.

  • Directly manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, helping them grow while delivering outstanding results.

  • Drive profitability through smart budget control, change-order management, and value engineering.

  • Be the trusted face of Hardy Construction with clients, delivering an exceptional experience every time.

  • Get out into the Billings community — attend chamber events, networking groups, and local organizations — to build relationships and bring in new clients and new work (target: 2–4 new clients and $15M–$25M in new projects annually).

  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and the latest construction technology to keep us ahead of the competition.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years in commercial construction with at least 5 years in a senior role leading $10M+ projects.

  • Proven experience directly supervising Project Managers.

  • A track record of community involvement and success in developing new client relationships.

  • Strong skills in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and contract negotiation.

  • PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or similar certifications are a big plus.

  • Energy, leadership presence, and a genuine desire to be part of the Billings community.

Why You’ll Love Working at Hardy Construction

  • Competitive base salary plus generous performance bonuses tied to project success and new client wins.

  • Benefits package includes: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and generous PTO.

  • Real career growth — lead amazing projects, influence company strategy, and build your reputation in the region.

  • A supportive, family-oriented culture that values hard work, integrity, and giving back to the community.

If you’re a seasoned construction leader who loves delivering great projects and loves building relationships that bring in new business, we want to talk to you.
